    wrapper order

Is there a way to order the way inputs and outputs show up on a wrapper? For some reason I can't get it to change, and I want them to line up with the order of the nodes on the outside. Thanks, Chad

    Duplicate Array

That was the trick I needed, Thanks!

    Duplicate Array

I am still struggling with how to make an array in 3d space. I am trying to make cubes and stack them. I keep finding that if I get my xyz for the starting point for each cube, and make rectangles to extrude they ignore the z coordinate. This makes sense to me why it doesn't work they are only 2d objects, but I have not been able find the work around. If I create extrude first I don't know how to duplicate array them. Thanks for any help. Chad

    Duplicate Array

Thanks for you help Alan, After looking over these I was able to get closer to what I needed.
  6. I am working on my first scripting project, with very little experience in scripting at all, hence why I am playing with Marionette. I am trying to do a basic duplicate array, where my x offset would have a value, as would the z, but nothing for the y. I don't see a node for this. What is the best way of doing this? Thanks for you help. Chad

    Texture Size

I am trying to change the size of an existing texture, so when it is applied to my surface, it is sized to the surface. I used the 'set texture' node, and connected that to the texture input on the 'set texture size' node. For the size I used a 'dim' node. This seems to have no affect the size of the texture when running the script. I am starting to think that the 'set texture size' node is only for when you create a texture, not for using an existing one. What would be the method of changing the size for an existing texture? Thanks,
  8. You can also set the font justification in your label legend manager. I use name and number (i like the organization I gain in LW), and I have Name right justified and Number Left Justified. then I center them both, and no matter what the spacing between them is correct. Yes sometimes Centering of both of them is off, but since I use the same basic naming for all plots, I have the centering fixed per label legend.
  9. If you are using the worksheet in VW, then you should be able to right click and force select. Then hit 'control 3' (zoom to object) and that should put you right where they are.
  10. Andrew, I think from the symbols you posted the None would be the same as a dead hang. I am assuming none means no motor, fall arrest of block and fall.
  11. I am wondering if there is a standard for what a dead hang symbol should look like? I use the ChainHoist tools, so I have all the standards there, but Samuel doesn't include anything for dead hangs. Thanks,
  12. Is there some way to get Label Legend Containers to travel with the LL? I have a symbols library where all my LLs live, and every new document I have to go into the LL Manager and reaquire the containers. It is a pain because on some of them I have customized the containers.
  13. My Guess would be that somewhere in the symbol there is another class associated with it that is turned off.
  14. Yes, the buttons would be linked to user-defined favorites files.
  15. I would like a short cut button bar added to the resource browser (some where on the top). The short cuts would be a quick way to access favorite files. It would save the step of having to go into the drop down menu to access these.
  16. Have you tried using the Snipping tool to do the screenshot?
  17. I have always found that exporting as an image file and converting that to PDF is the best approach for anything other than a 2d plan.
  18. Sometimes it is just easier to not use the LED tool for these things. I often just create 3d polygons that are the correct size and add solids. Then I use the Attribute mapping tool to make it look how I want.
  19. I do the purge command. These are usually objects that are still hidden somewhere in my document. I don't just want to delete them, because I don't yet know what they are. I would want a right click option or something where I can do to the symbol in my RB and tell VW to select all the instances of these symbols. That way I can see what they are actually doing and where they are.
  20. Would it be possible to use the Magic Wand (or a similar command like select all instances) in the resource browser? When I do Autocad imports and they have 100s of symbols. I usually go through and convert those to groups or compose the objects to clean up the Resource Browser. Sometimes, after cleaning up the document, I am still left with a couple symbols, it would be nice if I could select all those symbols without having to find one on the document first.
  21. Yes, but I was trying to change it in the plugin editor so I didn't have to change that on every document.
  22. Hey Andrew, Sorry for my delayed response. I am using VS4- build 4.4. I have attached a file that I put a screen into. Really it is not a big deal, I am just trying to figure out if I can save the extra step. Chad
