  1. Been experiencing the same problem. Bump.
  2. Front of images is getting clipped off in OpenGL render mode. Wireframe, fast Renderworks, etc. is fine. Using two separate machines this problem is still present. Both worked fine previously. Pictures below: Wireframe OpenGL Fast Renderworks Help appreciated!
  3. I'm using VW now. Any suggestions on how to do this would be welcomed! Thanks. Ken
  4. After talking with tech support and others, there appears to be no easy way of making projection screens look like projection screens and not paintings hanging on the wall. I came from an AutoCad based system that allowed me to simply set an emission value for a screen or TV, and the unit would look realistic on render. Right now the only option appears to be hours of rigging up a light and trimming it's pattern to fit perfectly on the screen. What a shame...
  5. Grant, Your observation was a good one. After switching the falloff things look a bit better. I am still struggling with the whole auto-exposure dilemma, though. I'm trying to design using the actual photometrics of my equipment, and the renderings end up blown out. However, when I use the auto-exposure I get different results from different vantage points. I am a proficient photographer, and I'd like to see things work the way a camera does. I don't think this is the case. Is there any way to set a relative exposure and lock it in for the renders? How are others handling this problem?
  6. I'm working with a drawing that includes 20 house lights and a few theatrical fixtures. I'm rendering using custom radiosity. Upon rendering, the stage lights are going nuclear and the house lights are barely visible. I attempted to adjust the dimmer settings and no real changes were visible. I then tried adjusting the Candela on the emitter, and nothing really changed that I can tell. What gives? I've tried using auto-exposure and not. When not using auto everything is nuclear. I'm new to VW but have extensive experience with AutoCad. I tried contacting VW support, but I haven't gotten a response. Help!
