  1. This would not be such a big deal except we format for 11x17 and then double up to 22x34 but print on 24x36 - and it just looks weird to have this second printed box printed on all of our drawings. My workaround is to incorporate the sheet border into the title block symbol and then hide the built in border in the instance of the sheet border object. Not ideal - but with some tweaking - it will work.
  2. Project sharing can now bring an entire project under 1 roof which opens up some really great coordination possibilities. I think there should be a new "Set Manager" which would bring together the functionality of the issue, revision, and publish tools. The record issues and revisions records, which are currently held inside the sheet border symbol, should be brought out and centrally control. A "New Issue" feature would allow you to select sheets from a list with a check-off box, and automatically adjust those title blocks with the issue info, auto fill in the X of X page counter, and modify a sheet list object that could be placed on a cover page. It would keep track of what sheets have been issued, re-issued, added since last issue, and revised.
  3. I am sorry. I am not explaining myself well. There is the sheet border - which is awesome. I can get it exactly the way I want. THEN there is a page box - a light rectangle drawn on the outside of the drawing border - which I can not get rid of. See attached.
  4. Thanks. I have been a crazy man trying to find it there. I do not think it is an easy option. There is the tempting "Hide Border" but that hides the whole thing - not just the page box.
  5. I am investigating using sheet borders and the issue manager for the frist time. I am building a custom title block. The issue I am having is that the sheet border object comes with its own page border, and I can not seem to find a way to turn this off. I do not want to have a box around my box around my drawing. Does anybody know how I can modify this? Thanks, Tom
  6. Linked Detail Callouts: I love the idea of this, but is there a way to move the linked viewport from one sheet to another without killing the detail tag? Otherwise, this is a disaster. Somebody could spend time keying a section with linked detail tags - then somebody else - rearranges the detail pages and all the callouts get erased. Am I missing something?
  7. We are mostly 2D here. We will certainly start small and fresh for the first real use - but I just want to set up a real-world example to show the office what a project using sharing looks like. Getting the design layers over is easy enough - just reference them in - then kill the reference - the trick is getting the sheet layers over.
  8. This is related to project sharing. Is there a way to bundle individual files together? I want to create a test sharing project - and it seems the easiest way to do it would be to translate a current project by combining the individual files into a master file. Is there a file merge procedure?
  9. We had a techno dance party here. Love the new branding by the way. Big improvement.
  10. Would it be possible for you to post the marionette files used for the demo video? I would like to understand how both of those facade ones work.
  11. I was testing out the Renderworks Camera and received an error message saying the plug-in is missing required resources. Is anybody else having this issue?
  12. Ah. Thank you. Question about Project Sharing and file size. One of the reasons we break up a project into multiple files is to keep file size down. We have machines of various capabilities and ages, and we and sometimes these files can get a little cumbersome. I though file sharing would eliminate this, but now that I am playing around with it - I am not sure - it seems as if your local machine will have to handle the whole file, but just does not have write permission on all layers. Is this correct? Is there some built-in resource management? If I am only working on 1 layer - does my machine still have to handle the entire model?
  13. Where is the save and commit button? I only see it in the File Menu.
  14. Can Marionette objects be inserted into walls?
  15. The real question is - is it coming today.... I need to decide if I should get back to work - or keep refreshing. Jim, wink if it is not today....
  16. I am checking this thread like an obsessive teenager checking his phone to see if Becky returned his text...
  17. I have been looking at the image all night - and I figured it out. It is a diamond. VW16 comes with diamonds...it wants to marry us.
  18. I would love to have a 'live frame model' that was tied to a VW model and would update with a "Recalculate" like command when the doors, walls, and windows are changed. It would also be great if you could choose stud type.
  19. ...just 1,999,999 steps to go after that.
  20. I would love for stair objects to intelligently interact with slab objects the same way that door interact with walls. The stair would then automatically cut the stair opening in the slab (editable if opening does not match stair), and then apply proper nosing at the edges where the stair interacts with the two slabs. Tall order I know... VW2017?
