  1. http://www.nemetschek.net/community/edisp_subscribe.php Sign up to edispatch and receive news about new tutorials.
  2. Jonathan your podcasts seem to be free to download. Are they copyrighted and is there a charge to subscribe. They are downloadable withe realplayer on internet explorer. Are there other videos on u-tube other than yours. I think these would be downloadable with realplayer as well.
  3. How do we know when Nemetschek adds new videos. Thanks for the other suggestions.
  4. Thanks Peter, I wasn't sure all the plugins would work but I'll give them a try.
  5. Does anyone have a list of third party plugins that work with vectorworks 2009 for windows 32
  6. Is ther somewhere where you register to be notified about new tutorials for Vectorworks.
  7. Thanks to everyone for the advice. I know own a copy of vectorworks 2009 and interiorcad.
  8. I have some "vectorworks learning series disks" for version 10 that I am going through. Are using classes and layers the same in 2009 or do I need to read the manual to learn about different options. Is there a good tutorial on line about using classes and layers. Thanks!
  9. Thanks islandmon for your advice. I'll give it a try tomorrow afternoon.
  10. Unless you select the molding profile with the rectangular slection toolit stays hidden. This happens even after you have turned it into a nurbs object. By the way the other setting that seems to work to export from Rhino3d is the last dwg setting. I'm going to have to go back and reimport the dxf files and see if the rectangular selection tool will make any of these file types visible. Even when you select the dwg files they seem to be clouded and not the bright orange you would normally expect.Maybe someone has an answer for this abnormality.
  11. When I import the base into Vectorworks you have to use the rectangular selection mode to see the molding and when you try to select it as your profile before you loft it,it can't be selected. I'm stumped. By the way I turn the molding into a nurbs object so it can be seen in it's proper orientation in the different views.
  12. I used the extract tool to create the path so now I need to snap my molding in place and loft it around the path. I'll try that in the next 15 minutes.
  13. I tried converting the walls to nurbs so I could chose the path for the baseboard molding to follow but the walls would not convert to a nurbs object. What do I need to do in order to highlight my path. Thanks!
  14. Ray libby was right. I exported the file as dwg natural and ended up with a polyline that I could convert into nurbs. Thanks Ray!
  15. Gog I tried sat but it would not work. Cinema 4d can import dxf files by the way. I'll have to try the different versions of the autocad dxf files until I get it right if possible.
  16. Thanks Mr Gog. I had read you post above but thought that since it was a 2d file I should have used dxf. I'll give sat a try. Thanks for being so patient.
  17. I exported a baseboard molding as both dxf and dwg default files from rhino3d. I then imported them as single dxf or dwg files. All I ended up with was a rectangle with 3 lines through it. What is going on. It looks the same no matter what view I look at it in. I even tried to convert it to nurbs and that would not work. Thanks!
  18. Thanks for the help! Does that mean I don't need vp tools to do this?
  19. Does find-replace symbol in vp tools do this or is it already built into vectorworks?
  20. Is there a plugin that will for example take a group of like chairs or casings and exchange them with different chairs that are all the same or casing that is all the same. Truespace had a plugin that would do this if I remember correctly.
  21. Try GoodMoulding.com. Ijust came across the website. Type in 6 to12 in base and see what you get.http://75.125.109.34/
  22. Where can users of Vectorworks find 2d symbols of baseboards and casings. Is there a plugin that makes the design of baseboards easy. One can probably get symbols from local suppliers of baseboards and casings but is there a place on the web where these can be downloaded or ordered. Thanks!
  23. Can some of the vectorworks users check out this link and tell me if it applies to vectorworks the way it applies to cinema 4d. http://vrayforc4d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4852&highlight=rhino
  24. I did some research on this and determined it is good to have both of these. Right now advanced render is the only one that will do baked textures which can be transferred to vray. Baked textures allow for quicker render times.
