  1. you sir, are the man. thank you again.
  2. Wow, thanks so much! I use Vectorworks 2008, student version, either from my home PC or school MAC. Unfortunately I could not open the vwx file you sent.
  3. Hello, I was wondering if there is an option of adding text to the facade of a building. I tried this before just with the regular text command but it failed to rotate with my building. What I'm looking to do is something along the lines of this: [img:left]http://www.trenscat.com/metrobaix/images/P3040408.jpg[/img] Thank you in advance, Gabi
  4. I'm looking for a bike as well. Is it possible for you to share this bike with me? Thank you,
  5. Hello, I was wondering how I would go about creating a glass wall such as this one: The building that I am working on is round by the way, and it looks a lot like 30 st. Mary axe, but not as tall (http://www.weddingvenues.com/images/listing_photos/3808_london-sky.jpg) I could use vectorworks on either a Mac or a PC (both 2008 Educational versions). Thank you, Gabi
  6. Actually I got one to work really well with what Chad suggested. Thanks a lot for your help! I'll fix my signature too .
  7. Your post with the pic of the ladder. I tried to play with the stairs but I can't seem to get them to go straight down at a 90 degree (or close) angle, which is basically what I need.
  8. Hello, is the same available for the vectorworks educational version? I need to put in some plumbing fixtures and I have very few choices. Thank you!
  9. actually could you explain what you mean by that please ? THank you.
  10. Just a regular climbing ladder (like the one shown above) to connect two floors. I cannot put regular stairs in because space is limited.
  11. wow really Sorry I'm a newbie ... thanks ! I'll try to do that.
  12. Just wondering if there is an easy way to build a ladder in vw. Thank you,
  13. Hello Pat, Thank you for your help. All of my layers are at 1:48 scale. I am trying to select in the same view. I did find out though that if I turn on stack layers, i cannot select the show/snap/modify others option (it shows up gray as opposed to black). If i turn stack layers off, I am able to check the show/snap/modify others box. However, I am still actually unable to do that in my drawing. Any ideas as to what is going on? Thank you, Gabi
  14. Hello all, I'm working on a small tower right now and am having trouble modifying my layers. I created a layer for each of my floors. I am trying to use the show/snap/modify others option to be able to modify all the layers without having to switch back and forth btwn them. For some reason, I am unable to select any other layer than the one I am on at the certain moment, despite having the show/snap/modify others option checked. Any ideas ? (i dont know if this helps but I built my tower out of a hemisphere that I converted to a NURB, left a shell of it and then divided it with the split tool to get the floors - also I should mention that I am a long time AutoCAD user and am just learning to use VW in the past few weeks so I'm not sure if my technique is right for any of this heh ! ) Thank you in advance - Gabi
