Thanks Sam appreciate the help. I just got used to using the replace with active fixture in the OIP from previous versions. Don't know why they took it out. My OIP looks so much cleaner now getting rid of the stuff I never needed and arranging the tools I use most near the top. Appreciate the Auto Plot tools as well.

How do I edit the contents of the object info palette. In Spotlight we have lost the "replace with active fixture" from the OIP. I would like tome some stuff around also.

Someone told me that if you have a register tape printer that spotlight will print truss tapes for you? I can not find this in the vectorworks help. Using Spotlight 2009. Anybody know how to do this. It would save alot of time on my garage floor. thanks tim

I know this is probably VW 101 but what are the differences in layers and classes. I get a .dwg from a producer of the ballroom layout with all sorts of classes ( rigging, chandlier, soffet, lighting, stage, chairs, etc...) I create a layers ie truss, lights, lights floor, curtain etc... When I export back to dwg this all goes into a layer titled none. thanks tim

After watching Starting Installation for 45 min. I went downstairs to see have dinner and when I came back to the computer Installation Complete. I guess patience is a virtue.

I downloaded the SP2 update and clicked on the Updatevectorworks icon. I go through the procedures, pick destination where 09 sits. The updater says starting Installation... and just sits there. Nothing happens. Any Ideas?
