I spoke with tech support and shift+M will move the adjacent walls even if the wall connect button is off. Ctrl+M and draging won't do this.

That is the Connected walls button that doesn't work.

I just started on 2010 and the connected walls button doesn't work. No matter what I do all the walls stay connected together so I can't move just one. Whats the fix for this?

We are looking to convert only a couple files now, but this has been an ongoing issue. Old jobs we are now adding on to or renovating. We would like a way of converting these files as needed.

Does anyone know of a way to open Minicad 4,5,6 files in VW2008 or VW12?

Is there a way to turn the text with the section-elevation marker? The text is always the same direction as the section line. Which doesn't work when the section line is vertical.

Is there a way to make wall shadows on a top/plan view? I can't switch to Top view and render because it turns off text and room fill colors move.

It would be nice if Vectorwork changed the color or highlighted dimensions that have be overridden and had text typed in. This would make if clear to anyone using the drawing that the dimension does not display the accurate dimension. It could still print out normal color, the color would only have to show up in your design layers.

I was playing with much the same idea. I wish there was a way to position a component within the wall. Instead of just stacking components like it currently is. Then I could make the center line on a different class and be able to turn it on and off.

Is there a way to make the wall center line visible? I want a visible center line to show up so the dimension lines are not floating in the center of a wall by themselves.

Is there currently or is there ever going to be a way to import Revit files into Vectorworks? I have some Revit details I'd like to put into vectorworks but I don't have Revit to convert them to dwg files.

30x42, if that was wrong the whole sheet would be messed up. Its only the worksheet being effected.

When I go file:export to pdf it don't prints about half my drawing. I print threw adobe to make pdfs. I've checked every setting I can find in there and nothing.

I narrowed it down to a printing problem. When I print to PDF or when I plot to the 36" printer it changes some worksheets. When I print to 8.5x11 printer it prints fine. Is there a printer setting some hidden place?

I switched it to Arial and it did the same thing.

Windows Xp Vectorworks 2008 GDI+ is off Fonts map to arial (I'm using architxt which looks different so its not maping to arial) Its more of a margin problem within the cells. Its wraping text halfway threw the cell causing 3 or 4 lines of text. The bottom two lines then get cut off even if the cells are set to auto adjust.

Didn't help any. Did the samething threw a viewport.

The worksheet is inserted directly onto the sheet layer. Now that you mention it, I'm going to try and do it from a viewport and see if that helps.

I'm having a problem where the vectorworks worksheet shows up correctly in the drawing but when I print it cuts off words and wraps text before the end of the cell. Any ideas what could be causing this?

When you use the - Modify Menu:Convert to Lines or Convert Copy to Lines command, it removes the windows and doors when you do hidden line rendering. If you do the wireframe rendering it leaves the doors and windows but it also does not convert the wall to just one line. It has multipule lines on top of each other. Is there anyway to get it to leave the doors and windows and leave only one line walls?

The render settings I used for that picture was Custom RenderWorks Geometry - Curve Detail High, use Nurbs Lighting - use shadows, ray traced shadows, transparent shadows, High quality Ambient Light on 10% color black Final Gather - Off Rendering - Use Anti-Aliasing, Use Ray Tracing Max Refractions 32 Min. 3 Resolution 300 px/in I found TIFF files do have a little better quality.
