  2. First of all, Happy new year to you all! Hope you had a good one! Right lads/ladettes, I have a 3D terrain model of a site which we are currently working on, I would like to add the arial photograph to it making the photo follow the 3D terrain. is there anyway of making a flat Jpeg image stamp on to a 3D terrain? any help would be great. Matt
  3. Could you provide a more detailed link to that ??? I cant find it on the website...
  4. It would be very useful to have the same stretch command that you get in AutoCAD, as it is a pain to have to pull points all the time, there shoudl be a command that allows you to stretch a group of lines or polygons. thoughts?
  5. It would almost be like saving a Workspace.... That would go down a treat
  6. Thanks jbr, i also found this online, it could be of some help. http://www.vectorbits.com/VectorBits/donationware/Entradas/2008/1/8_Purge_Polygons.html
  7. Ahhhh, Thankyou Ian, does anyone know it actual name then? Thanks in advance
  8. When I am importing .DXF's or .DWG's I find it really annoying that I have to keep changing the settings every time i import a new file. I have noticed that if you keep VW open it saves your settings but I was wondering if would be good for VW to save your settings, even when VW is closed down. Thoughts?
  9. Right this is a big problem I am having in Vectorworks. I am Currently sketching over the top of a scan of a map and i am drawing the contours. Because the contours are so long i am making polylines that are like 15MB in file size. is there any way in which i can lose most of the nodes but keep the same shape? This is pretty urgent so any help would be great guys. Matt
  10. I did not think that there was but I guess I was fishing to see if anyone had an idea.. Cheers anyway.

  12. Thanks mate. I have now sorted out what i have to do in order to merge the OS layers with my own, but when i go to save the Class Mapping file it saves it as a .txt file, then when i go to try and load the file in a new drawing it says "this is not a CLASS mapping style" What is it that i am doing wrong? Matt
  13. Thanks for your answers there people, the thing i was looking for was the class and layer mapping. Thanks to you all, i will try and use my guidance to help you if needed in the future. Matt
  14. I regularly recieve drawings from an OS mapping company, now the drawing has been brought into vectorworks but it still has all of its (there) Classes. I was wondering if there was a way in which i could import the drawing so as the Classes on there drawing would update to the classes on my drawing. For example > Class G80121009 > Roads. << My layer I am just wondering if there is a way to automate the process rather than going in and renaming 400 layers? Thanks in advance for anyone who could point me in the right direction. Matt
