I am having the same set origin file problem. We have five working files, all referencing a title block. Only one of the files has a sheet layer with viewports. When the date is changed in the title block, the title block moves inside the viewport (the other drawings without viewports are still okay). Only fix is to delete the title block viewport and create a new one. This is the second job I've worked on in 6 months that I have had this problem. I definitely prefer AutoCad's viewport set up which is much simpler.

I have used the find-replace text command under the text drop down menu before to find text with a certain value, and it will highlight the text once it's found, however, now it no longer highlights the found text. does anyone know if there is a setting in vectorworks that needs to be set in order to get it to highlight the found text?

Is there a way to open up a vector-works file read-only similar to autocad? I need to get into a file only to copy and paste items over to another file, and do not want to block out another user from being able to use the file I want to open read-only, plus don't want to accidently move a symbol in the read-only drawing.
