  1. Ok, I was doing it right, just wasn't what I was looking for. I am trying to get it to look like the plan view of this document that I have attached.
  2. I can't seem to open the file with the extension .vwx. I know that it is a Vectorworks file, but my VW is not recognizing it for some reason. I tried changing it to .mcd, but that still didn't work. Any thought. I appreciate all your help on this
  3. Having trouble with the whole rotate thing. Can you help with with rotating so I can see the top view? Thank you.
  4. Hi there. Does anyone have or know how to create a symbol for 20.5"x20.5"x10' self climbing truss, top view? I figured out how to make the side view, but I need the top view, and the symbol for the self climbing rig that goes in the corners where corner blocks normally go. Thanks!
  5. Thanks Matt, I thought about placing in the spotlight forum first but wasn't sure. Will try the rotate in 3d thing if I can figure out how to do that. Thanks!
  6. Hi there. Does anyone have or know how to create a symbol for 20.5"x20.5"x10' self climbing truss, top view? I figured out how to make the side view, but I need the top view, and the symbol for the self climbing rig that goes in the corners where corner blocks normally go. Thanks!
  7. I do have 12.5.3. Sorry, need to update my signature.
  8. I am finding that my text is shifting to the left and some of my lines aren't printing when I print to PDF. Anyone know why this might be? And I know the lines aren't a lineweight issue because it will print half a rectangle and not the other half. Thanks!
  9. I eventually got it figured out. Thanks for your help guys!
  10. I'm not sure why it didn't work. Maybe I didn't get the right thing. I tried to find it at NNM website but couldn't so I found another VW help site that listed the drivers but it was a little hard to decipher, so maybe it wasn't the right one or maybe I only got part of it. I know I am missing something here, I just can't figure it out. Thanks for your help with this.
  11. Ok I tried that. Installed it as "run as administrator" but after installation when I right click on vectorworks.exe (I don't have 2009) to run as administrator, it wont let me check the little box. Can you even install 12.0.1 on Vista? Could there be something wrong with my dongle?
  12. There don't appear to be any more dongles on the cd. I also have tried downloading the driver from the internet but that didn't work either. I am brand new to Vista and I don't know if there is some issue with Vista that I don't know about, or maybe I am installing the disk wrong (not sure how though. )It just seems weird that it wouldn't automatically install the driver.
  13. So I found the dongle drivers but it says I must run the master installer to install it, but I have tried installing VW about 3 times now and each time it does not appear to be installing the drivers. Any thoughts?
  14. That's probably it. I will try and find the drivers. Thank you very much.
  15. Old computer died so had to reinstall VW on new computer. It is now saying that it can't find my dongle even though it is plugged in. I am pretty sure I installed everything correctly. Could it be a Vista issue? Thanks!
