I'm currently running my VW 2012 Designer on a 2 x 2.66 (Nehalem) Mac Pro 12GB Ram, ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB and would like to know if anyone has upgraded to ATI Radeon HD 5870 1GB?
Is it worth it?

Thanks Horst
I just play around and get annoyed about those kind of errors.
I like the Cartoon render mode but it's useless as it is now.

Download my drawing file (earlier post in this thread) and check out the viewport settings on sheet layer 3 and you will find the settings.

Thanks Horst
I found a way by adding a foreground Hidden Line render and set the line thickness in Carton to 0,01
But I still think this should be fixed in Cartoon settings (addressed to Nemetschek)

Hi
Anyone here with the new Mac Pro (Nehalem Processor)?
I'm about to buy a Mac Pro and would like to know if there is better to buy the "2.66 x 2" with 6 GB memory or the 2.26 x 2 with 16GB Memory.
Will Renderworks gain anything if I upgrade graphics to "ATI Radeon HD 4870 512MB" ?

Designer 2009 with RW
on a Mac Book pro 2.4 with 4GB Memory
It's the draw beam I'm aiming for. It does not draw correct with side light.
The Pictures is wish of how I would like it to work with draw beam and side light.

I made some new pictures (manipulated with objects so they appear as what I'm aiming for with the focus point).
I work mostly with dance performances and would like to create documentation for the Light Directors whom will work with the designs on tour etc.
Draw beam works only if you have a instrument hanging and focused down on floor.
If I want to make a special for backdrop or sidelight the "Draw beam" does not reflect "Real life" focus

The focus point is located to the right.
Beam and field angle is 36

Hi All
I have a problem with focus points for my side lights.
Is there a work around for the F.P. so it will work in vertical plane?
Enclosed picture is frontal.
