June 14, 2022 12:00 PM 01:00 PMPlease note, we offer this seminar at three different times, make sure to select your preferred time during registration. If you are located in Australia, these seminars will take place one day later than the date listed.
This introductory seminar provides an overview of using Vectorworks Spotlight to create, visualize, and document live entertainment productions. Attendees will explore the capabilities, concepts, resources, services, and benefits of using information modeling in the design phase to streamline workflows and increase efficiency. The session covers the user interface and demonstrates how to use specialized plug-ins, tools, and menu commands contained within Vectorworks Spotlight.
1. Learn how different Entertainment projects can be organized.2. Understand the capabilities of Vectorworks Spotlight.3. Get an overview of Spotlight design tools.4. Learn about interoperability for Vectorworks Spotlight.5. Learn about the different design and learning resources that are available.6. Find out what next steps you need to take to be successful using Vectorworks.Register
June 14, 2022 06:00 PM 07:00 PMWith project schedules becoming increasingly more compressed, you may be looking for a new workflow that’s efficient, but also doesn’t hinder your creative process. One of the most straightforward ways to make a change in your building design process is by adopting a 3D modeling workflow. Incorporating this method will help you remain creative and meet shorter deadlines.
This presentation includes a brief history of what you draw in a building design workflow and compares the similarities and differences between a traditional, 2D workflow with a modern, 3D modeling workflow.
Learning Objectives: :
Compare and contrast 2D drafting and 3D modeling workflows as they pertain to buildings. Define the scope, strengths, and basic principles of 3D modeling using data-rich objects. Discuss various tools and techniques used in developing 3D building models and the associated data. Consider how various software applications can share both geometry and data — increasing the efficiency of your process. Register
