With Vectorworks 2026,Top/Plan Wall graphics are now derived from the Wall’s 3D geometry, improving reliability, performance, and support for complex features, with all Walls required to have at least one component. Component graphics display in medium and high detail while overall wall fills now appear only in low detail, and walls always observe the design layer cut plane, with inserts automatically breaking walls only if they intersect this plane. These changes simplify workflow for users and plug-in developers by reducing manual settings, though 2D symbols for doors and windows will no longer break walls unless 2D loci are included to define the wall hole.
