  • Using Language Specific Special Characters (Mac Only)

    When opening Vectorworks files that contain language specific special characters, you may encounter an "Unrecognized file" error message.

    Or when saving a Vectorworks file with a special character, you may encounter an "Internal Error".

    In order to save or open files, that use language specific special characters you need set that the desired language as the top preferred language.

     

    1. Open System Preferences

    2. Navigate to Language & Text and make sure the desired language is at the top of the prefered language list.

    3. If the language is not available, click Edit List and add the language.

    4. Finally, exit System Preferences and reboot your machine. You should now be able to open and save files using language specific, special characters.
