    Fixes

    1) The Vectorworks application must NOT be renamed. it should be "VectorWorks" "Vectorworks 2008" or "Vectorworks 2009", whatever the original name of the application was upon install . The Vectorworks application folder should not be renamed either.

    2) The Vectorworks application has been moved out of the Vectorworks folder. The Vectorworks application itself MUST remain in the Vectorworks folder under Applications. If it has been moved, place it back into the correct folder.

For instance, a common occurrence is that application has been inadvertently moved to the desktop in a failed attempt to create a shortcut. The correct way to do this is to right-click or control-click on the Vectorworks application and choose "Make Alias", this alias can then be moved to the desired location and can be used to launch Vectorworks.

    3) If the first two procedures fail, create a new user account and try running Vectorworks from there. See: Create New User Account (Mac)

    4) (Less likely) The "Vectorworks 2009 Series A149" disk sometimes did not install Vectorworks properly. Usually copying the contents of this DVD to a folder named "Vectorworks" on the desktop, then running the installation from there (after a complete uninstall, do NOT attempt to install over an older version) will correct the issue.
