Tech Support has identified an incompatibility between Trend Micro's Security Agent and Vectorworks. Symptoms of this appear on both Mac and Windows operating systems, and can include:
- Significantly slower installation time
- Long delays when selecting or modifying objects
- Vectorworks crashing on launch
Some users have reported success whitelisting the Vectorworks application in the security software's software settings. We have reached out to Trend Micro about this, for now they request that users contact their support directly: https://esupport.trendmicro.com/en-us/default.aspx
The only confirmed fix for this incompatibility is to uninstall the antivirus software completely.
