Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. has released its third Service Pack for the Vectorworks® 2012 product line.
This Service Pack contains a number of fixes, especially in importing and exporting IFC, and DXF/DWG files. In addition, we are introducing couple of new features:
Architect
- The import Shapefile command has been added to the Architect workspace.
- IFC data can now be attached to symbol definitions from a context menu in the Resource Browser.
Renderworks®
- The Use Enhanced OpenGL Shadows option has been added to the 3D tab of Vectorworks preferences. Enhanced shadows are highly accurate shadows used in OpenGL rendering with shadows (Renderworks required). If the graphics card and video hardware is capable of displaying enhanced shadows in OpenGL, this option should be enabled. A video card which is capable of displaying enhanced shadows, but with 128 MB or less of video RAM (VRAM), may lead to quality or stability issues during OpenGL rendering with shadows; if this is the case, disable this option. This option is not available when the video card and/or hardware is not capable of enhanced OpenGL shadow display.
This Service Pack is available for all licenses as a downloadable updater. To install the Service Pack, please click here or go to the About Vectorworks 2012 dialog box in the Vectorworks menu (Mac users) or Help menu (Windows users) and click Check for Updates.
If you have any technical questions or problems during this process, please contact us attech@vectorworks.net
Please note: This Service Pack is currently available for all non-localized English versions.
Respectfully,
