Vectorworks 2025 Update 2.1 Available for Download - (Dec 4th)
Vectorworks, Inc. has released update 2.1 for the Vectorworks 2025 product line. This update includes the following quality improvements that enhance your everyday experience with Vectorworks 2025.
Important Enhancements
- Fixes the Record button on the DMX Recording palette in Windows.
- Fixes the Separator and New Menu functionality in the Workspace Editor dialog box.
- Fixes the High Hook Height parameter for hoists.
- Revit import and export commands are available again in all Design Suite workspaces.
- Double-clicking a truss symbol from the Resource Manager activates the Truss tool.

Installing the Update
This update is available as a downloadable updater for all U.S. English-based versions of Vectorworks 2025. To install the update, please select Check for Updates from the Vectorworks menu (Mac) or Help menu (Windows).

- In viewports, data tags can now tag objects in clip cubes.
- Data tags can correctly detect roof face components in Top/Plan view.
- Improves library nomenclature for symbols in the Building, Interior, and MEP content folders.

- Adds support for Revit 2025.

Fundamentals
- AI Visualizer improvements: You can now recall prompts and settings from previously generated images for reuse, create seamless tiled patterns, and create a clear alpha channel in an image. You no longer have to be logged into the desktop Vectorworks Cloud Services app to use the AI Visualizer.

- Improves sill graphics for corner and span windows in the Top/Plan view.

Landmark
- Irrigation pipe improvements: Now you can set a default radius value for the display of jumps where two pipes intersect; you can also set all existing pipe jumps to a consistent radius.
- All ESRI ArcGIS services now require logging in to use or to update georeferenced features. The default GIS service has changed to OpenStreetMap.
- Improves the stability and performance of hardscape and landscape areas. Improves the reliability and stability of associating curbs to hardscape and landscape areas. Applying 2D graphic attributes and joint patterns to hardscapes is more precise.
- New Vestre site furnishing libraries are available.

Spotlight
- Update GDTF Files command improvement: Now you'll get a summary dialog box showing which fixtures were associated with a GDTF file and which were unsuccessfully updated. You can export the summary as a .csv file if needed. When lighting devices are inserted after selecting the command, GDTF files are now properly associated with lighting devices.
- Removes static accessories from the lighting device list of the Patch dialog box.
- Lighting devices preview correctly when Accelerate graphics is deselected on the Display pane of the Vectorworks Preferences dialog box.
- Lights now snap properly to straight and curved truss objects.
- Bridles now snap to structural members in Click Insertion mode.
- Hoist pick-up symbols can be selected in the Hoist Object Properties dialog box.

- The Connector Panel Settings dialog box now detects all panels in the document, not just the visible ones.

- Improves the siding tongue-and-groove materials and textures in the Materials library.
- Fixes all siding textures with the surface hatch hidden line rendering alignment issue.
- Improves textures in the materials and wall styles.

- Curb improvements: Improvements to the curb object include a new option for creating path symbol statements, the ability to add a foundation line to path extrudes, a simpler method for creating L joins when editing curbs, and improved preformatted worksheets for reporting.
- Corrects the Architect and Landmark templates to display the ReadMe file correctly when using dark mode.
