If you are speaking with Technical Support about an issue that causes Vectorworks to crash on Windows, you may be asked to send in a crash log. Follow the steps below:

In search, (Start > Search for Windows Vista and Windows 7, Windows-F hotkey or search charm on the right for Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows 11) type "Reliability", then select "View reliability history”.

    Windows 10:

With the Reliability Monitor open, you should see your version of Vectorworks near the top of the list if the crash just occurred. Right-click on the most recent entry and choose "View Technical Details”.

Once the Problem Details window opens, copy all of the text within the window:

Then either reply to support’s email request directly with it in the message body or paste it into a text file and send it as an attachment.

Also, please include all files ending in .DMP that you find in the following location on your machine:

    C:\Users\(YourUsername)\AppData\Roaming\Nemetschek\Vectorworks\(YourVectorworksVersion)

After doing so, to help increase the likelihood of these issues being addressed quickly, follow the instructions HERE on how to enable Detailed User Logs as well.
