  • Kaspersky Antivirus - Quarantined or deleted files resulting in red Xs in the user interface

    PVA - Admin

Some users have reported red X's appearing in their Vectorworks UI. This is often caused by Kaspersky AV:

If you are encountering problems specifically with Kaspersky Antivirus, where you are seeing the following errors:

To correct this problem, highlight all of the components that have been removed and choose "Restore"

    Then, click the Settings button:

Then click "Add" and browse to the Vectorworks 20XX folder (or whichever version of Vectorworks you are currently using), and select making sure to check the options to include subfolders.

Once you have done this, if you launch Vectorworks again and still encounter problems, you may need to remove Vectorworks and reinstall entirely:

Once you reinstall, the Trusted Location settings should remain, and you should be able to use Vectorworks normally.
