    Import SketchUp - .SKP file imports "exploded"

    In some instances, you may import a SketchUp (.SKP) file that appears broken apart or exploded when viewed in Vectorworks:
     

    viper import auto.png


    This is often caused during import. To correct this, delete the faulty imported geometry, then import the .SKP file again. Under the SketchUp Import Settings, under Geometry Settings, make sure the method is set to "None":

     

    skpimportnone.png

    Your import should then appear as expected:

     

    viper import none.png
