Vectorworks users are able to remap and create new customized keyboard shortcuts to any tool or menu command available to them. To do this, start by going to Tools > Workspaces > Workspace Editor
You can either choose to Edit the current workspace, create a new workspace from scratch or modify a duplicate of the current workspace (Recommended)
The appearance of this dialogue box will be slightly different on Mac and Windows, but they function identically.
In either the Menus or the Tools tab, you can click to the right of the Tool or Menu commands name to modify or add a shortcut. If a tool already has a shortcut assigned to it, you can overwrite it. If you are attempting to assign a key command that is already used by another Tool or Menu, you will be warned and will be able to choose to overwrite it or cancel the modification.
On Mac you are given the options for having the following modifiers in addition to the single key you select:

Additionally on the bottom left of the Workspace Editor (after version 2008) you will see an option for "Export Workspace to Text File" which allows you to create a list of all your currently assigned shortcuts and their respective commands.
