Visualizing Success with Rendering Software

There is a growing need for project models to be as rich visually as they are in information. To that end, interoperable rendering programs have become paramount to the successful designer. Presented by Daniel Jansenson, principal at Daniel Jansenson Architect, this webinar will explore Renderworks® software, the rendering platform available as an add-on to Vectorworks® software, examining its multiple uses and outlining its basic procedures. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the role of rendering software in the design process, experience a practical workflow for lighting and then rendering a model, and see examples of different types of rendering in action.

Learning Objectives

  • Examine the role of rendering software in a successful design process.
  • Discover the benefits of interoperable rendering platforms that enable smoother transitions from 2D layout to BIM model to final rendering all within a single workflow.
  • Identify the different styles of rendering included within Renderworks software and how to easily change from one to another as you design.
  • Conclude that some forms of rendering may be more appropriate for certain projects than others, depending on the nature of the project and the time available, and how to choose the best option for a given project.
