Title: Landmark's Power Duo: Plants and Site Models
Description: The speaker for this working session will address the two most popular features in Vectorworks Landmark software, plants and site modeling. Going beyond simply placing plant symbols and draftingcontoured topography, participants will understand how plant objects and landscape areas can be customized with data, 2D graphics, and 3D representations, as well as discover how site models are created, modified, and analyzed. Items covered include: plant objects, plant databases, plant image props, VB Visual plants, landsape areas, site models, 3D locus points, 3D polygons, and site modifiers.
Learning Objectives:
1. Accomplish hybrid planting design processes, integrating 2D and 3D represented plants, which will be used in essential planting plan documentation and model analysis and presentations. :
2. Evaluate the effects of proposed plantings by introducing solar directional light into a 3D site model and producing still views at times recommended by SITES to control solar heat gain.
3. Use built-in worksheet features to aid in plant material quantification and scheduling, establishing time-saving resources which will be useful in future project assembly. :
4. Learn how to quickly create, modify and analyze a 3D site digital terrain model promoting SITES objectives for soil and water management.
